Finding Joy In The Journey.

"Life is like an old-time Rail Journey- Delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the lord for letting you have the ride."

-Gordon B. Hinckley

Lately I have found myself only seeing the sidetracks, delays and cinders. When in reality I have been blessed with experience, growth and patience. I can easily feel sorry for myself when things aren't going perfectly in my life. Losing a dear friend in an accident, and Christian's sweet mother to cancer definetely have proved to be trialing. I need to be grateful for the strength and valuable lessons that come with these trials. I've learned that life can change dramatically in a month, days, even seconds. This month threw it's rocks at me. Next month, and every month after, I will use my new armor of strength, and experience during any jolt in my journey, or delay on my track.

I will be thankful for the ride.

Add to my favorites

This shoe isn't the best for long distances, but I love the comfort for a short run(about the only type of runs I ever do)
My sister Rachel got my hooked on this stuff....(dry shampoo) My hair longevity is days longer. I should probably buy my own, she doesn't know I'm using her's. Shoot. Sorry Rach.
Again, Thanks rachel. Although, sadly it runs out fast. But it doesn't smudge and goes on so easy! I use it when I'm going for the L.C eye like below...

Ok this book is a favorite too.

It's foundation and powder in one. LOVE.
Really, who doesn't love this stuff? My hair is so dry and eats this goodness up.
They use Loreal Professional at my Salon, it is good stuff, i'm telling you. And smells heavenly! Sorry Hayley I never really believed you until I used it. AMAZING.
I love this mascara, if you like the more natural look and not the chunky and gooey lashes look.

For a lifetime.

Well remember my last post about 'dainty jewelry'? I have one of the greatest friends in the world that is truly a sweetheart. My best friend Alexandra Gibbs (we've been friends since 8th grade) moved away a couple years ago to Santa Barbra to pursue her amazing talent as a Photographer at Brooks College out her blog). We have kept in touch and recently she sent a little package my way to remind me of our great friendship with the most perfect, dainty, friendship necklace that I absolutely adore. I could not thank her enough, meant so much to me. I cant wait to reunite in a couple weeks when I visit California for Spring Break.
I have had way too many good times with this gem. I LOVE YOU D.
Love Always,
